In my free time, I really enjoy being creative and working on different hobbies. I’ve tried a variety of activities that I found interesting, ranging from sewing clothes to making props. Not only was it fun, but it also helped me discover what I enjoy most and where my skills lie. These creative side-projects give me the space to experiment, learn new techniques, and continue challenging myself.
Costume
For a fun project, I created and sewed a costume, using both hand stitching and a sewing machine. I had never made something like this before, and it was a great way to expand my skills while enjoying the process. During this process I quickly realized that creating a cosplay is much more complex and time-consuming than I had realised.

There was one outfit that I really loved: the Lazuli Robe, a mint-green robe worn by mages in the popular game Elden Ring. So i decided to recreate it.
Prop
My costume needed a prop, so I decided to make a staff to go with it. This turned out to be a really fun process where I learned a completely different set of skills compared to sewing. First, I gathered the materials, there were quite a few different ones involved, and I enjoyed experimenting with what worked and what didn’t. Shaping and assembling the staff was a mix of trial and error, but it gave me the chance to try out techniques I had never used before.
